See Ya Later Ranch
20 Destination Wineries in the Okanagan Valley
This small wine sub-region is sometimes bypassed as travellers make a beeline for Oliver and the Golden Mile, but for those who know the Okanagan, Corkscrew Drive has become one of the most impressive areas for wine touring in BC.
Few wineries exemplify its charms better than See Ya Later Ranch, which sits high above the valley floor and commands staggering views to the northeast.
The winery was founded under the name Hawthorne Mountain Vineyards around a heritage ranch house from the early 1900s that is one of the oldest buildings in the Okanagan. Today, it is enhanced by a large patio overlooking the valley, shaded by grape vines, and providing one of our favourite places to tip a glass of wine. The wine, by the way, is very good. See Ya Later regularly picks up major awards at Decanter, the International Wine and Spirits Competition, and the San Francisco International, among others.
The winery owners are obsessed with dogs, so keep an eye out for their canine friends Goku, Hiro and Pinot.
